Job Description:

• Production of detailed functional design specifications for gas turbine control systems.
• Development of control system hardware for turbine control applications.
• Specifying electrical hardware components for control systems.
• Production of wiring diagrams and general arrangement drawings.
• Liaising with customers and sub-contractors.
• Production of test specifications.
• Production procurement specifications.
• Production of Test procedures and specifications.
• Factory and works test.
• Design & Implementation of Fire & Gas protection systems .

Person Specification:

Essential Skills Required

• Production of detailed functional design specifications for gas turbine control systems.
• Good working knowledge of PLC based control and HMI systems (Rockwell and Siemens S7).
• TUV / SUD Functional Safety qualification or equivalent.
• Power Generation industry knowledge.
• Formal qualifications in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering.
• Good levels of practical experience of this type of work are essential.
• Very good customer relation skills required .
• Prioritising workloads to deadline.
• Ability to extract information from specifications.
• Be able to work under own initiative, and as part of, or leading a team on site
• Must hold a current, clean driving licenses.
• Full passport

Advantageous Requirements

• Experience of HV or Generator protection systems.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD electrical.
• Good knowledge of Gas Turbines, Rotating machinery and hydraulic systems.
• CCNSG Passport to Safety.
• Offshore Vantage Card
